Antique Window made Thanksgiving!

I have been so excited to do this post since my sister gave me an old antique window, she bought from a yard sale.  Melissa always finds a good deal!  So I took it home and immediately knew what I wanted to do with it!  My sister in law bought me some little wreaths for a wedding gift (5 years ago)!  I love them, I have used them for so many different things!

I just added the wreath and ribbon, that were already together, and had the "Blessings" sign already that I bought at Hobby Lobby!  I think the wreath is perfect for Thanksgiving, and I can not wait to put up my Christmas wreath!  This is definitely inter-changeable!

What do you think?!

I also thought I would share a few of my other decorations for Fall!  I have a mantle downstairs above my fireplace.  I used to just have the black shelf, so it is fun to have other places to put all my decorations now!
I had two other small wreaths, so I added them to the bottoms of my lamp and lantern!  I needed more greenery so I think it helped!

The hubs and I just put the book cases next to the fireplace.  I think it warms it up a bit!  Eventually the wood will all be one color, and hopefully next summer our walls will no longer be white!  Looks like I should take a class in photography!

I would love to see your creative touches for this "Giving" holiday!

Organizing Toys with labels

We are constantly organizing our toys, because they are always being played with.  But here is a fun way to organize and make it cute at the same time.  I used the labels that you can print out for free from BHG.com.

Here is another idea on how you can organize items that can be put upright instead of stalking them on top of each other. Happy Organizing!

Recipe Command Center Labels

If you remember our post on our Recipe Command Station.
I needed to add some labels to show what is in each drawer.
The post we did on the labels you can print out from BHG.com. Which by the way are really easy to do! I just printed them out on cardstock, laminated and used double-sided tape.

I love having all my cookbooks, printed out recipes and coupons all together when I need to do my meal planning and shopping and I have been loving this. Look at this post to see how to make your own Recipe Command Station.
Hope you enjoy this fun idea!

{Guest Post} Uncommon: Favorite Halloween Tradition

Thanks so much for having us Carli and Melissa!  We are Trish and Bonnie from the blog, Uncommon.  Today we are sharing one of our favorite Halloween family traditions with you...
Does your neighborhood or community have a Halloween tradition that includes "Boo" ing your neighbor?  My children love the treats and the mystery of it all!  Their favorite part is being the one who gets to "Boo"!  In case you have never heard of this fun activity... we will show you how to do it!  Best of all... we have created a great free printable for you to use!
Step 1. Download and print out your worksheet

Step 2.  Fill the cone with treats and secretly leave it at a neighbor's house.  We made a cute Halloween "Boo" cone a couple of years ago, but you can use anything you have that will hold the loot!
Step 3.  Your neighbor will then cut the ghost portion off and and place it in their window, so everyone knows that they have already been "Booed"!  Such fun!

What Halloween traditions or special activities do you participate in as a family or community? We would LOVE to hear about them!!

Thanks so much for guest posting for us today! What a fun activity to do!  Carli and her hubs were just Boo'd the other night!  Now she will have a fun way to Boo her other neighbor's.  I can't wait to start the Boo'ing in my neighborhood!

Pumpkins, Witch Boots, its Halloween time..... Oh My!

Carli here.....Its finally Halloween time.... I am so excited for OCTOBER!  Not only is it my Birthday, but it is also my 5 year Anniversary!  I used to think I had a lot to decorate with for Halloween, but now that the hubs and I moved into our first HOME this May it seems I have nothing!  I love groupdealz.com, and I just bought the vinyl lettering for this frame to add a little something more to my shelf this year.  I added orange cardstock paper, and the spiderweb paper to the back of the lettering to add a little pop to the frame!  What do you all think?!

I think this new side table coupled with these two pumpkins and a special message to remind me every day of my angel baby, fit perfectly in our family room!

My mantle over my fire place was a bit sparse until I added a few decorations I have had for a few years, there is still something missing, but I know I will find it.  Do any of you have some ideas?!

I was blog stalking the other day and came across this fun idea from Fancy Frugal!  I had just the right frame for the job, and found some needlework fabric left over which worked out perfectly.  I just needed some buttons and I drew from memory {close to} the same shoe she found for her project!  Some orange buttons, and I added the green ribbon just for a little extra fun!  I am pretty proud of myself.

Hope you stay tuned.  Gregg and I are having a Halloween Bash at our house, we are so excited for the little ones to come pick their pumpkins!

Darling Stenciled Baby Onsie

I finally completed a project I have been wanting to do since my 2nd child was born. I loved the idea from a favorite blog I Am Momma Hear Me Roar to use freezer paper to make a fun print on a onsie. It was really easy and really fun. She has an in-depth tutorial on how to do it.
Here is my version!

I added puffy paint glitter around the flower to enhance it a bit!

Here she is in the darling onsie!

Grilled Pizza!

This idea from Mel's Kitchen Cafe to grill pizza, instead of turning on the oven in the hot summer months is so smart!
